Chinese Painting
My mother produces beautiful Chinese watercolor paintings. With my new found interest in watercolor, I geek out on her art supply when I visited her. She paints almost daily so she had her paints and materials all laid out already. I was curious and I couldn't resist sitting down and start playing with it. I didn't want to use her nice rice paper so I grab an index card to practice. It was quick and turned out better than I expected. The little sketch didn't look like Chinese watercolor but it was painted with traditional Chinese watercolor art supply (except the paper). You know what? I liked the materials so much I stole couple brushes from her. :p
Btw, I couldn't believe how inexpensive her art supply is. All her art supply probably cost less than one of my watercolor paper blocks!
